UK retailer sells colored Dell Mini 10 for no extra charge

The Inspiron Mini 10 from Dell, is available from the Dell website in white or black for £299, including VAT and shipping. Or if you prefer it in blue, red, pink or green, from the Dell website there’s a £19 upgrade fee. UK retailer PC World has received shipments in store and for online orders of the colored netbooks and the great news is, if you purchase from PC World it won’t cost you any more. Netbooks were primarily released as a low cost portable solution to travellers and mobile business. Since the first release of the Asus Eee PC, netbooks have gone from mainly using Linux, to the majority of netbooks using Microsoft Windows. What better way to relax on the last day of Easter and the start of a new week, than with some great deals on netbooks. Both Best Buy and TigerDirect currently have offers on netbooks. Best Buy currently have two Asus netbook deals, but are a little shy with one. The Asus Eee PC 1000HEB is listed as $350 and doesn’t say that the netbook usually retails for $400. OCZ enter netbook market

This week sees the announcement of a “DIY netbook” from OCZ. Standard features of the Neutrino include a 10 inch display with a 1024×600 resolution and the Intel Atom N270 processor. Memory and RAM wise though, the netbook will be available with 1GB of RAM and a 250GB SSD card. The RAM can be upgraded to 2GB, without voiding the warranty, which gives this netbook a DIY edge. The Neutrino will also be able to support hard drives of up to 250GB. We should see this netbook released in the next two to three months, with the option of Windows XP or Ubuntu as the operating system.

MSI announce MSI Wind U123

Following on from the popular U100 and U120, MSI are to release the next model in their netbook line up this April. Their newest netbook, U123  will feature a 10.2 inch screen a couple changed specifications from their previous netbooks. Unlike the U120, the U123 will have the ability for users to upgrade it’s RAM to 2GB. The MSI Wind U123 will also be using the newer Intel Atom processor, the N280, currently found on the Eee PC 1000HE from ASUS.
