The Asus Eee PC 1000HD is clearly on sale though, with a huge $130 discount. Both netbooks usually retail for $400 and feature a 10 inch screen, 1GB of RAM. The 1000HD comes with 40GB more storage, totalling at 160GB and also features the latest processor, Intel Atom N280, where as the 1000HEB features the lesser speced Celeron processor.

At Tiger Direct, you can pick up a refurbished 8.9 inch Acer Aspire One for $240, where as brand new it’ll set you back $300. One draw back on the saving is that the refurbished models only come with a 3 month warranty. An extended warranty can be purchased at cost, but it drives the price up much higher than a brand new one.
