Samsung’s release date for the NC20 netbook in the US has been put back to possibly the first week in April according to Laptop Mag. The release was set for the 16th of March previously (as reported here).

In an exclusive deal with NewEgg.com the NC20 will be brought to US shores by Samsung and the model they are releasing will cost $549 . It will have a higher capacity battery and only the black model will be available in America initially.

A Samsung rep has confirmed to LaptopMag, that the Samsung NC20 will be released in the US on March 16th. The netbook however, will only be available to purchase from Newegg.com. The price of the netbook hasn’t been announced yet, but based on the UK price of £379.54 ($478 approx) from Amazon, £50 more than it’s little brother the NC10, the price could start from $470.

On release in the US, the NC20 will be available in black featuring the new VIA Nano U2250 processor and 1GB of RAM. The NC20 is also larger than the NC10 on account of the larger screen, but this however provides the NC20 with a larger keyboard. The touchpad has also increased in size on the netbook, but remains with the single bar mouse button.
